Most often described as Blues or Roots Rock, the ever-morphing audible sound of Old Smoke continues to bend and redirect with the same unpredictability of life itself. At its foundation, heavy influence can be heard from the likes of Lowell George, Greg Allman, and Levon Helm. Though Old Smoke relies heavily on nostalgia, gut instinct, and raw emotion to create songs that reach the present.

Simply stated, Old Smoke is a tight-knit unit of friends and who are trying to accept the gravity of what it means to be artists. Once an amalgam of idealistic individuals, the group has emerged as a functioning artistic collaboration. Where once insecurity separated the storyteller from the listener, Old Smoke has forged a collaborative songwriting process that collectively spans a widened spectrum of life experience and delivers authenticity in the form of struggle and self-acceptance.
